Hi folks-

Thanks to everyone who continues to use Hatchet, particularly after the
quiet year (!!!) we've had since the last release (0.7.1). This
release marks a small but important stage in the evolution of the
Hatchet project. There are a number of changes, most prominently to
the docs, but also very importantly, to the location of the CGI
scripts. A lot of these changes will allow for users to install
Hatchet painlessly in the existing httpd chroot.

 From the CHANGELOG:

- Reorganization and fixes of all Docs/*.
- Moved all cgi-bin/* to the default /cgi-bin/.
- Removed alt location option for create_db.pl.
- Moved all variables to universal config file (/etc/hatchet.conf).
- Fixed the "Transaction aborted" bug in hatchet.
- Regex additions for HSRP, ICMP, SNMP, and DNS replies.

A huge thank you to Humberto for finding the timelocal_nocheck method
in Time::Local. This has finally brought closure to the "Transaction
aborted" bug that has plagued Hatchet for some time now. I've also
incorporated regex for all of the unknowns that folks have sent me
since 0.7.1 was released. As always, keep sending these on to me.

Settings for all of the scripts (hatchet, hatchart, hatchvert,
create_db.pl, hatchet.cgi, rules.cgi) have been centralized in
/etc/hatchet.conf. The file uses Perl variables, so please be careful
to use proper syntax when making changes.

I have removed some of the docs that were no longer relevant. Since
modern FreeBSD-5.x and NetBSD-2.x releases both include a PF-enabled
tcpdump, the relevant code in the hatchet script and the README.FreeBSD
document has been removed. I have also deleted the UPGRADE document,
since the process is fairly straight-forward for any experienced BSD
admin. If you really want an upgrade path, I would suggest removing
all of the old stuff in /var/www/htdocs/hatchet and reinstalling per
the INSTALL or SPLIT-INSTALL docs.

Thanks for continuing to support Hatchet,
